Wirefly Contest
Meet The Winners of Wirefly's Video Challenge Contest
The following winning videos exemplified the
Wirefly brand with creativity and flare. We hope that you enjoy
their videos as much as we did!
John Hill
Orlando, FL
John started his video by creating a rap that called attention
to the large selection of phones from numerous carriers and
manufacturers, "Got more phones than pimps got hoes. Got more
plans than bums got cans". John's rap and creative artistry
conveys the benefits of shopping at Wirefly with flare.
Fun Fact:
"I decided on a rap because I thought it would be funny, but I was hesitant because I noticed there were several other entries that had rapping. So I knew I had to make a fun animation to go with it too."
Stephen J. Boyd
Muncie, IN
This young videographer and rapper took a break from biking
across the country to create a video that particularly called
attention to Wirefly's incredible selection of phones and
unbeatable prices. "It's called Wirely and it'll blow your mind.
Great deals, leaves the competition way behind. And if you doubt
me for a second, visit the site and you'll see why they're a
legend."
Fun Fact:
I started out by writing lyrics to the rap. After I had that down I put them to a beat and started recording everything on my computer. Once it was recorded and mixed I laid down a small storyboard for the video. I shot it with the help of a friend, edited it on my laptop, and uploaded it! It's that simple!
Carolyn H. Morse
Los Angeles, CA
With talent in the making, Carolyn developed her video with the help of her husband and friends. Together they created a video that touted Wirefly's brand promises: "More bang for your buck. Straightforward pricing. And Fast, Free FedEx shipping. Come to Wirefly...Your total satisfaction is one click away."
Fun Fact:
Living in LA has its perks – like friends with equipment! We managed to borrow a Canon XL1 camera, as well as a tripod and boom mic from one friend, an ARRI light kit, bounce cards, c stands, and sandbags from another, and yet another friend let me film the pool and living room scenes at her house – all for free! With the exception of the pool and living room scenes, we shot the entire video with a crew of two!
